*May 2008: 5th EuroGOOS meeting 20-22nd May 2008*

• EuroSITES colleagues attended the 5th EuroGOOS meeting on 20-22nd May 2008 in Exeter, UK. Talks included an overview of EuroSITES and EuroSITES data management (Maureen Pagnani NOCS) and plans to upgrade the EuroSITES POSEIDON II monitoring and forecasting services in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea (Kostas Nittis, HCMR).
• EuroSITES has strong links with EuroGOOS with three members of the EuroGOOS Scientific Steering Committee (and Director Hans Dahlin) forming part of the EuroSITES Consortium and Oversight Committee.
