ESTOC April 2002
The ESTOC mooring was deployed on 16th April 2002.
The ESTOC equipment which went adrift at about 1700 on 21st May has now been recovered to Telde on Gran Canaria. The mooring had parted at a splice in the cabling. It should be possible to recover the remaining portion of the mooring and redeploy again on the next cruise to ESTOC which is scheduled to be in early December 2002. When the mooring is serviced more data will be recovered and further analysis will be posted on this site.
Data were sent automatically every 4 hours via the ARGOS satellite system and are now available on a database to plot the following graphs.
These graphs have been produced using the complete data set collected when the mooring was on station.
Click on the small image to see the full size graph.
The conductivity data at various depths and times have been marked as dubious by the quality control system and have been excluded from the graphs below.
