The observatories deployed at the ESTOC site have unfortunately suffered communication failure in early 2009. The mooring was recovered in January 2010, and attempts are being made to download the delayed-mode data. It is planned to deploy the new mooring in early March and prior to that the full system will be tested in Taliarte bay, close to ICCM.

The ESTOC team have produced tables summarising the sampling carried out at the ESTOC site since from 1994 upto 2008, which can be downloaded as a pdf HERE and a document briefly describing the sampling and analysis methods downloadable HERE.

Spring 2008
The DOLAN buoy which had been used as a platform at the ESTOC site in the ANIMATE network was redeployed to another site in April 2008, at the end of the MERSEA project. ICCM are currently testing a new buoy, and plan to deploy an observatory in Spring 2009.
